    The relation between atomic tunneling states (ATS) and negative-U electron pairs in amorphous semiconductors is the oretically investigated in a simple model. By considering the interaction of ATS with the electrons of dangling bonds,we can not only derive negative-U electron pairs, but also explain the different properties between chalcogenide glassy semiconductors and tetrahedrally bonded amorphous semiconductors in a nature way. The connection of the density of the states of ATS with the electronic states of dangling bonds is also discussed, and our results can qualitatively account for the recent experiment of Fox et al. In addition, the urbach rule in chalcogenide glassy semiconductors is derived.

    In this paper we discuss the thermodynamic property of the F-AF phase transition by starting from Kittle's free energy expression of the antiferroelectrics. Both the characteristics of the polarization and the P-E relation obtained by the theory are i n good agreement with the experiments.

    The contributions to the short range nuclear force from the quark-pion interaction in the Chiral Bag Model have been investigated.The antisymmetric wave functions for the physical channels of N-N, Δ-Δ and C-C are obtained in terms of the group classification and fractional parentage reduction. Assuming six quarks in a spherical bag, the separation of the quark triplets is described in terms of two orbitals-left and righ which are composed of the quark S and P states. The results show that the contribution to the short range nuclear force from one pion exchange of the quarks is repulsive about 150 MeV.

    The real scalar field and the spinor field with external sources present are studied. The relationship between external sources and coherent states is given. In the case of real scalar field the eigenstates of field and its canonically conjugate field are derived in terms of coherent state and functional integration techniques. For a fermion field, it is demonstrated that Schwinger's external sources technique can lead to the spinor coherent states, with which we can also derive the eigenstates of fie3d operators and their conjugate field operators.The Yang-Feldman equation with the Grassmann sources is also obtained.

    Five SO(14) CUT Models are proposed and thoroughly discussed. The first two models contain low mass magnetic monopoles.The last three models contain fractionally charged color singlets including ±e/3, ±e/2 objects. The evolution of sin2θw is also discussed.

    Using the Primakoff effect of longitudinal polarized reactions e+e→γ+H+ff which would have extremely sharp peak both in the forward and backward cross sections, one could hopefully observe Higgs bosons in W-S model and determine its mass experimentally.

    Following the work of Wilczek and Zee, we analysed the various representatives of the elements in CP (1) chiral model and obtained the gauge potential Au naturally and geometrically. Furthermore, by using the Hopf bundle and its decomposition, the meaning and the origin of the Hopf integral can be obtained obviously and geometrically. Finally, some concrete results of the integral are also calculated.

    Recently Hartle and Hawking put forward the "ground state" proposal for the wave function of the universe, which incorporates the idea that the universe must come from nothing. We give two models of quantum Kaluza-xlein cosmologies in 5-dimensions. In the first model, there is an isotropic cosmological constant, which eventually leads to an isotropically expanding universe. For the second model, the cosmological constant is assumed to be anisotropic, which leads to the spontaneous compactification of the fifth dimension.

    The finite temperature effective potential in SUSY Weinberg-Salam model, proposed by Sohnius, is calculated. The temperature of the phase transition is found approximately. The scale of this temperature is of the order of hiqqs mass, it is the same as that in standard model. There is no influence on the phase transition from the Slavnov term. The cosmological inflationt SU(2)×U(1)epoch in such a model is estimated.

    Using the pseudo-spin method, the U(6/12) supersymmetries can be decomposed into seven chains: three chains from the UB+F(6) symmetries (I,Ⅱ,Ⅲ chains) and three "preserving" the IBM symmetries (I',Ⅱ',Ⅲ' chains). The last one is SUB+F(3)* synmetry.The physical meaning of chains Ⅱ and Ⅱ', the so-called SU(3)symutetries was discussed by Warner. That of chains Ⅲ and Ⅲ' was briefly in dicated previously by Vallieres et al. In this paper we will discuss the characteristics as well as the physical meaning of chains I and I', to so-called SU(5) limits, andwcontrast it with the discussion for Ⅲ and Ⅲ'.

    In this note we calculate the lowest energy level as a function of the magnetization (m) for the spin glass s tate and find it increasing with m. We point out that this increase is the intrinsic reason for m being zero in spin glasses, even with average exchange (J0)being a positive one.

    We show that the ?ech-de Rham complexes can be constructed by means of the generalized secondary classes and their definitely combinatory forms, then in this sense these complexes turn out to be the gauge group cohomologies.
