    The regions of stability for simultaneous storage of positive and negative ions in the Combined trap are studied. It is shown that the regions of stability for the Combined trap are significantly larger than that for the Paul trap. The possibilities of making antihydrogen by simultaneous storage of antiprotons and positron clouds in this trap are also discussed.

    We derive an equation of motion of mean firat-passage time (MFPT) for the nonlinear system driven by the external and internal noise simultaneously. An approximate formula of MFPT is obtained by the perturbation technique. We find the coupling effect of the internal and the external noise for the MFPT. Using the steepest descending method we obtain the MFPT for a specific model.

    The melting instability on fractals is discussed qualitatively under the Lindemann's hypothesis. The density of elastic vibrational states originating from phonon and elastic fraction modes is used to calculate the mean square displacement of lattice constitutents, and the transition temperature is estimated for fractal aggregates with different dimensionalities of elastic fractons.

    The critical behavior of the gelation of polymers is studied by means of the generalized Srnoluchovski's coagulation equation. The exact solution of the kinetic equation with a factorial coagulation rate R(i1, i2, . . . in) = si1 × si2 × . . . × sin and sk = A × k + B is derived for the monodisperse initial condition cm(O) = δm, 1. It is shown that a gelation transition takes place within a finite time tc and the gelation time tc ii characterized by the parameters A and B.

    In thia paper a general approach to obtaining the statistical distribution function is given. In the specific case of free field, the statistical distribution functionsare derived under a basis set of general commutation relations by using the double-time Green's functions in the first, second and third order decoupling approximations respectively.

    The conception of expansion function ф(κ) at the exponential of d electron radial wavefunction of transition-metal cations developed in Refs. [1-5] was used to interpret pressure-induced spectral shifts of series of crystals. The red or blue shifts of the spectra of 4 crystals with MgO or CaO as hosts and 3 crystals with α-A12O3 as hosts were calculated by making use of the parameters obtained from fitting the experimental spectral shifts of Mg0:Cr3+ and α-A12O3:Cr3+ crystals respectively. The results are satisfactory, and it has been found that ф(κ) and η(κ) are mainly effected by the host while the difference of the impurity transition-metal ions causes ф(κ) and η(κ) varied only slightly.

    The self-dual Yang-Mills field theories in two-dimensional representations are formulated. The Biicklund transformation and the conservation law are given in the framework of the prolongation theory. Furthermore, we derive the conserved current algebras which are in essence the Yang-Baxter relations.

    (2, 0) world-sheet supersymmetry is shown to be one of the necessary conditions for space-time supersymmetry in most cases. Special care is taken to study the cancellation of local Lorentz and gauge anomalies caused by one fermion-loop..My computation shows that local counterterms which simultaneously restore local Lorentz and gauge invariance of the sigma model do not satisfy the criteria of (2, 0) supersymmetry. But local counterterms and the non-local part of one loop effective action are together invariant under the (2, 0) supersymmetry transformation.

    We emphasize to use the squared quark mass matrices instead of the quark mass matrices to eliminate the γ5 noninvariant ambiguity. A new measure of CP nonconsewation α is proposed in this framework. It is more underlying than the well-known CP nonconsewation measure J. The renormalisation group analysis for both of them is fulfilled. For this aim, we employ a careful calculation scheme, which avoids obtaining tiny quantity J2 from the difference of two large numbers. We find that the CP nonconsewation measure J, contrary to the previous statement, decreases with energy, while another CP nonconsewation measure α increases with energy primarily. The change near the infrared fixed points is substantial.

    The modified Migdal-Kadanoff (MK) renormalization transformation is applied to SU(2) lattice gauge theory (LGT) with a mixed action at finite temperature. The renormalization trajectory distributions and the phase structures in the whole coupling parameter space are obtained. Using the dependence of transition temperature on the coupling, the scaling behavior is found in the weak coupling region of β≥1.20. Numerical calculation gives the value of critical temperature Tc = 0.682Amom. It is close to the data from the Monte Carlo simulation.

    Based on. the Schwinger-Dyson equation for a Wilson loop in the SU(2) lattice gauge theory, we evaluate approximately the averages of Wilson loop of size I × J, from which string tension of the theory has been extracted.

    Hubbard strongly correlated system is carefully discussed physically. Hubbard's and Anderson's solutions for strongly correlated systems are commented on. For such a system, taking off or putting into one particle will severely affect remaining particles, SQ that Koopmans' theorem, aa well as the conception of single particle state and one-particle Green function, can not be applied in this system.

    In article [1] a quantum field theory for electroweak interaction and gravitational interaction has been proposed. By introducing the conformal (Weyl) symmetry, this theory has local scale invariance and SU(2)⊗U(l) gauge invariance and leads to the existence of Weyl's vector meson, which absorbs the Higgs particle remaining in the W-S model, and other interesting results. However, it is remarked in the above paper that the theory, even if it ignores the gravitational interaction, is not renormalisable. So its application is limited.

    By making use of the adiabatic approximate method, we derive the spin rotation formula of a relativistic neutral particle propagating in a slowly changing magnetic field, which involves the effects of the Berry's phases. In the non-relativistic limit, the Berry's phases result in an additional rotation in OVV spin rotation.
