    Combining the conventional Kanzaki's lattice statics method with an alternative lattice dynamical model called decoupling transformation, a new approach is proposed to calculate the vacancy induced properties in FCC metals. This approach has the advantage over the traditional least-square fit approach in the way that all the model parameters are linearly independent and so it can avoid the problem of non-uniqueness in dynamical model parameters when interactions with more distant atoms are taken into account by fitting to the experimental phonon frequencies only. Numerical results on the lattice dynamical properties such as phonon dispersion curves and interatomic interaction force constants and the vacancy induced properties such as the atomic displacements, lattice relaxation energy, divacancy interaction energy and relaxation volume are obtained specifically for two similar FCC metals, to wit, Cu and Ni and are compared with previous calculations. It is concluded that the interatomic interactions up to the fourth nearest neighbours are already good enough for describing both the lattice vibrational and vacancy induced properties for both metals.

    In this paper, a unified expansion theory that can be simultaneously applied to both large and small correlation times developed by Gang HU is established and applied to the systems driven by multiplicative colored noise. The stationary intensity probabilities are calculated for colored gain-noise and colored-loss-noise models. Comparing with the predictions of the best Fokker-Planck equation and the unified colored-noise approximation for the stationary intensity probability of the two models, it is found that the results of the unified expansion theory are in better agreement with simulations and experimental results than those of the best Fokker-Planck equation approximation and the unified colored-noise approximation.

    In order to investigate the variational-cumulant expansion (VCE) method, the 2-dimensional Ising model is expanded to the seventh order by adopting the method of enumerating connected diagrams, in whose process, how to determine the variational parameter is analyzed. The internal energy (U), specific heat (C) and spontaneous magnetization (M) are calculated from the first order to the seventh order. The results show that the thermodynamic and magnetic quantities converge to the exact values very quickly and the critical point approaches the exact one order by order. The curve-pairing phenomenon is watched between neighboring order curves at high teinperature region.

    In this paper we apply combinatorial approach and graph expansion to calculate multispin correlation function of the Ising model on Bethe-type lattice. The result indicates no existence of long range correlation at any finite temperature which implies that no finite temperature phase transition occurs.

    In this paper, the factorizable S matrices with toroidal rapidity values are constructed explicitly and the symmetry operators of which tensor product commutes with S are found. These operators have a structure which is similar to the ordinary Hopf algebra. As a limit of the elliptic case slq(2) quantum algebra with qN = 1 can be obtained from the symmetry operators.

    A set of symmetries of a generalized (2+1)-dimensional bilinear equation is given by a formal series formula. There exist four truncated symmetries for the KdV-lto model. These truncated symmetries with four arbitrary functions of time t constitute an infinite-dimensional Lie algebra which contains two types of the Virasoro subalgebra.

    The center of mass motion effect,on the quark delocalization model is to make the effective baryon-baryon (BB) interactions a lit tleless attractive but only a minor correction. The longrange behavior of the color screening potential is not critical for obtaining an intermediate attractive BB interaction. The cluster model and the molecular single quark-basis give exactly the same result.

    The effective potential of λø4 theory in two-dimensional spacetime is calculated up to twoloop level in an operator approach (or causd approach) without divergence. It reveals a second-order phase transition. A further discussion about the rdation between the convexity of the full effective potential and phase transition is given. We propose a modified Feynman path integral (FPI) representation of λø24 and sketch a plausible proof for the convexity of its full effective potential.

    The weak form factor in heavy to light mesons is discussed. We have analyzed two different approaches: Bauer-Stech-Wirbel approach and the perturbative QCD approach. It is pointed out that the nonperturbative contribution dominates the weak form factor in heavy to light mesons.

    We generalize the standard Jaynes-Cummings model (JCM) to a model Hamiltonian with the radiation field operators being the inverse of a harmonic oscillator's creation and annihilation operators. Some new commutative relations about the inverse operators are derived and the generalized JCM Hamiltonian's eigenstates are derived.
