    In coherent state representation and in the absence of rotating wave approximation, we present an approach to solve the interaction of a trapped ultracold ion with a standing wave laser by a continued fraction, within the Lamb-Dicke limit and the low excitation regime. It is shown that, the eigen-energies as well as the coefficients of the series of the eigenfunction can be obtained rapidly from the continued fraction.

    The method of few-body physics is applied to treating negatively charged excitons in a quantum disk. The energies of low-lying states of a negatively charged exciton are calculated for a few values of the electron-to-hole mass ratio. A new bound state of a negatively charged exciton in a quantum disk with orbital angular momentum L = 1 and the triplet state of the two bound electrons are predicted. The binding energy of a negatively charged exciton asfunction of disk radius for the heavy hole and the light hole is investigated.

    By using strong-field scheme, the complete d5 energy matrix with D2d symmetry has been constructed. Then, by diagonalization of this matrix at normal and various pressures,the whole energy spectrum [including the ground-state zero-field-splitting (GSZFS)], its PS and the g factor of the ground state for zns:Mn2+ have uniformly been calculated. According to the eigenfunctions and PS, the new assignments of five absorption bands have been given.The variation of tetragonal field with pressure makes a main contribution to the pressureinduced shift (PS) of GSZFS of zns:Mn2+, which supports the existence of tetragonal Jahn-Teller distortion in zns:Mn2+. It is found that when P≥62 kbar, t24(3T1)e4T1 merges with t2e4 2T2, which has to be taken into account in the calculation of PS of the fifth band in the range of 1bar~95 kbar. It is demonstrated that the Mn2+ ions in ZnS:Mn2+ have tetrahedral coordination, and the difference between ζ and ζ' caused by the covalency effect is very important for GSZFS. The physical essentials of typical levels, GSZFS and their PS have been revealed. By taking into account the influence of covalency on t23(4A2)e2(3A2)4A1 and t23(2E)e2(3A2)4E, the positon of the third absorption band at normal pressure has been estimated.

    We study transport properties in,a coupled double-plane system with one pure and the other random, in the presence of a transverse random magnetic field. The localization.length and conductance of the system are calculated by using the finite-size scaling method combined with transfer matrix technique. We find that in the scaling transformation there is a set of fixed points in a continuous line, indicating that the system undergoes a disorder-driven Kosterlitz-Thouless-type metal-insulator transition.

    A new method which combines the mean-field renormalization group with the discretized path-integral representation is proposed to study interface magnetism in a ferromagnetic superlattice consisting of two alternating materials. A simple spin-1/2 transverse Ising model with the nearest-neighbour coupling is assumed. The dependence of the interface magnetism in the superlattice on the geometric structure and the coupling strengths between the interface and bulk layers are studied.

    We studied the modulated structures and commensurate-incommensurate transitions in a generalized Ftenkel-Kontorova (FK) model where the chain is composed of three kinds of atoms. For the classical ground states, the phase diagram and the phonon spectrum show the multi-atomic effects. For the quantum ground states, the multi-atomic effects are reflected by the distribution of atoms in external potential, the phase diagram, the correspondences between the ground states and the orbits of the area-preserving maps, as well as the phonon spectrum and coherence length. For the most incommensurate structure, the critical point Kc at which the transition by breaking of analyticity occurs does not vary monotonically with A. For the case of μA= μB = 1 and μc = 2, with the increasing of A, the critical point Kc first decreases, then increases. The minimum value of Kc occurs at nearly h = 0.035. When K < Kc, the phonon gap ΩG = 0 and the Lyapunov exponent γ = 0, the system is in the sliding state. When K > Kc, the phonon gap and the Lyapunov exponent show great difference from those of the standard FK model.

    The dynamical properties of two-mode ring laser with different values of mode coupling constants are investigated by the full saturation laser theory with an injected signal. By a one-dimensional approximation, the intensity correlation time Tc and effective eigenvalue λeff11 are calculated. The effects of backscattering and injected signal are discussed.

    The transport process of a Brownian particle in a ratchet-like potential subjected to two exchanging Gaussian white noises is studied. The change of the temperatures is described by a stochastic dichotornic process. By making use of the perturbation method the probability current up to second order in small correlation time τ is obtained, and time-averaged current is evaluated numerically for a whole region of the parameters. For asymptotically fst temperature cycles, the present model yields larger current in comparison with the periodical temperature cycles. Depending on the temperature of cold heat reservoir, the current changes sign as a function of τ.

    By the coordinate scaling transformation and the rotational transformation, the density matrix for the (n+1)-body system with harmonic coupling in three-dimensional space is acquired. A concrete example for the three-body system is studied thoroughly. It is seen that if the third body acts on the two-body molecule, the specific heat for the molecule has some variation.

    The first integrals for a quartic potential system are of the form of Imi=04m Σj=04m-i αij(t)qjpj, where m is a positive integer m = 1,2,3,..., this paper finds the expression of Im by the recurrence method. Furthermore it shows that any I, (for which m≥2) must be a polynomial in fundamental invariant I1 (m = 1) of degree m, and hence there is no new invariant which is independent of I1. Thus we generalize the results of the previous papers from m = 2 to m = any positive integer, and prove the uniqueness theorem of the first integral for a quartic potential system.

    The soliton perturbations of the modified Korteweg de Vries equation corresponding to different signs of the nonlinear term are studied. The first-order effects of perturbation on a soliton, namely, both the slow time-dependence of the soliton parameters and first-order corrections are derived in a direct approach based on the separation of variables.

    The in-medium quark condensates will decrease as the density of nuclear matter increases if the original QMC model has been modified by introducing the u-dependent couplings, and this modification will lead to in-medium quark condensates completely vanished at about three times the saturation density of nuclear matter. This result is consistent with that of the model-independent approximation. Then, the effects of the empirical nucleon radii on the quark condensates are. calculated systematically.

    In the framework of resonating group method, we investigate the structure of the sixquark systems with strangeness s = -3 under the chiral SU(3) quark model. The calculations for single NΩ channel with spin S = 2 and the single △Ω channel with spin S = 3 are considered. The results show that both the systems can form loosely bound states where the forces induced by chiral fields play very important role.

    To further investigate the applicability of the projection scheme for eliminating the unphysical divergence s/me2 due to U(1) gauge invariance violation, we study the process e- + W+ → e- + t + b which possesses advantages of simplicity and clearness. Our study indicates that the projection scheme can indeed eliminate the unphysical divergence s/me2 caused by the U(1) gauge invariance violation and the scheme can be applied to very high energy region.

    We use the method of color effective Hamiltonian to calculate the probability of color singlet string states at the large Nc limit. We show that a qq + ng system produced from e + e- annihilation is definitely in color singlet string states when Nc → ∞, i.e., color,singlet string states account for 100% of all possible color singlet states. This justifies the approximation that the hadronization mechanism of each color-neutral flow piece connecting two color-adjacent partons is assumed to be the same as an independent qq singlet system.

    We solve the BS equation of glueballs under instantaneous approximation. With the BS wavefunction obtained we calculate the decay widths of glueballs to two pseudoscalar mesons, Г(ππ), Г(KK) and Г(ηη). Г(ηη') from QCD anomaly is also estimated.

    Based on a 3 × 3 mass matrix describing the mixing of the scalar states f0(1370),f0(1500) and f0(1710), the hadronic decays of the three states are investigated. Taking into account the two possible assumptions concerning the mass level order of the bare states |N> =|μμ+dd>/ √2 |S>= |ss> and |G> = |gg> in the scalar sector, MG > MS > MN and MG > MN > MS, the glueball-quarkonia content of the three states is obtained by solving the nonlinear equations. Some predictions about the hadronic and two-photon decays of the three states in two cases are presented. It is pointed out that the predictions about the two-photon decay width ratios for the three states can provide a stringent consistency check of the two assumptions.

    Q2-evolution of the Bjorken sum rule in the resonance region is studied. The roles of the Roper resonance N* (1440) estimated by the constituent quark model and by the hybrid model are stressed. Moreover, the Q2- dependence of the Gerasimov-Drell-Hearn sum rule contributed by the resonances is also discussed.

    The effective chiral Lagrangian for a matter field content consisting of pseudo-scalar Goldstone bosons and vector bosons (with hidden symmetry) is derived from the underlying QCD theory. No approximations are made. All the free parameters of the effective chiral Lagrangian are expressed in terms of QCD-based Green's functions. These may be regarded as the QCD definitions of these Lagrangian coefficients.

    According to the exactly formulated concepts of quantum integrability and nonintegrability,an initial coherent state |Φ0(γ)>evolving under the action of an integrable Hamiltonian having the same dynamical symmetry is expressed as an analytical function of γ and t. The expectation values of various dynamical variables should be expressed as correlated analytical functions of γ and t . Thus, the general characters of initial coherent state would be maintained during the spatio-temporal evolution under the action of such a system even if the wavepacket is slightly distorted. In contrast, when the integrability condition is destroyed, these features will be lost during the evolution. This theoretical prediction is illustrated with numerical results computed for the two-level Lipkin model with a dou ble-well potential and dynamical explanations are given. And the Eherenfest time is verified with this model.

    We discuss the superoscillators in thc supersymmetric quantum systems, and give the solution to the system. By making use of the annihilation and creation operators and their q-deformed operators, we also give the q-deformed quantum harmonic oscillator model in the supersymmetric quantum systems. The q-supercoherent states associated with the q-deformed supersymmetric quantum harmonic oscillators are constructed explicitly, and their properties are investigated. The uncertainty relations for q-supercoherent states are discussed as well.

    An approach to calculate the nuclear transition charge density (TCD) within the framework of the microscopic sdIBM-2 is presented and applied to the 190Os first. It was found that the TCD as well as the spectrum and some reduced E2 transition matrix elements in 190Os can be reproduced quite satisfactorily on the same microscopic footing.

    Based on a modification of theaglobal color symmetry model, we have calculated the four-quark condensate beyond vacuum saturation approximation by including the contribution of r and u mesons. The numerical results show that there is a sizeable correction of the four-quark condensate in comparison with its factorized value using the vacu urn saturation approximation.

    Careful discussions are made on some points wfiich are met in studying B-decay final state interactions, taking the B0 → π + K- process as an example. We point out that π-exchange rescatterings are not important, whereas for D* and D** exchanges, since the B0D+Ds-, decay has a large branching ratio their contributions may be large enough to enhance the BπK branching ratio significantly. However our estimates fail to predict a large enhancement.

    The Balitzkij-Fadin-Kuraev-lipatov equation including the nonperturbative contribution is studied by using the characteristic method. The results show that the nonperturbative contribution is very important in the low Q2 region.

    We propose a scheme to test Bohr complementarity with cold ions confined in a linear trap. In the scheme two ions are first prepared in a maximally entangled state via the excitation by laser fields. Then one ion of the correlated pair is driven by a resonant laser. The path information of this ion to reach one definite state is recorded on the other ion and thus the probability of finding the first ion in a definite state does not exhibit interference. The associated quantum eraser can also be realized.
