    The quantum mechanical transition state reaction rates for both microcanonical and macrocanonical expressions are derived from a recently developed classical reaction rate theory. The newly derived quantum transition-state-like rates are good for both unimolecular reaction and bimolecular reaction depending on the choices of the transition state dividing surfaces. In a special choice of the transition dividing surface for bimolecular reaction, the macrocanonic rate derived in this paper is reduced to the flux-flux autocorrelation formalism derived from quantum bimolecular reactive scattering by Miller and to those obtained by Yamamo to using Ku to linear response an alysis.

    We show in this paper that phase fluctuations of active atoms in many twephoton correlatedspontaneous-emission lasers will reduce field squeezings and brightness of the squeezed light. But, under certain conditions of laser operation, the fluctuations of atomic phases between lower almost degenerate atomic levels could increase the squeezings and the brightness. We also show that, even for large phase fluctuations of the active atoms, almost perfect field squeezings and substantial brightness of the squeezed light can be obtained.

    With the existence of thermal vibration effect taking in to account, interactions of hopping electrons with lattice acoustic phonon and soliton excitation in inharmonic linear chains are discussed. A new nonlinear equation of probability amplitude for electron motion is obtained. The new results of soliton solution in the form of hyperelliptic integral are obtained as well. It is proved that there exists soliton excitation of kink type in addition to that of bell type found in general.

    A numerical method for evaluating the elastic matrix of Aux lattice of anisotropic superconductor in a tilt magnetic field is developed, the normal modes are calculated by the diagonalization of the elastic matrix, discussions on the results are given.

    In this paper, the linear and nonlinear responses of granular composite medium consisting of spherical grains with coating shells embedded in a host medium are studied. We assume that the shell and the host medium are linear (the dielectric constants of which are ε0 and εm0 respectively), while the spherical grain is nonlinear (the diektric constant of which is εc = εc0 + χc|Ec|β). Starting from the definition (D) = εeff and taking in to account the corrections to the local field within the spherical grains, expressions for the linear and high-order nonlinear susceptibilities are presented.

    The bond-moving and decimation renormalization group techniques are applied to obtaining the critical dynamic exponent of the Kawasaki-king model on square lattice. The result is found to be z = zg + 2, where zg, is the critical dynamic exponent of the Glauber model on the same lattice. We guess that the relation may be valid for all d-dimensional systems with d≥2.

    The concept "sample-specific" is suggested to describe the behavior of disordered media close to macroscopic failure. It is pointed out that the transition from universal scaling to samplespecific behavior may be a common phenomenon in failure models of disordered media. The dynamical evolution plays an important role in the transition.

    The regular structure-parallel to-structure sequence of shrimp shaped isoperiodic domains in the parameter plane of the HJnon map is explained by symbolic dynamics. Rules for the pairing of symbolic sequences and for their ordering in the parameter plane are found.

    A dynamical variable feedback scheme is proposed to synchronize chaotic motion of two identical and nearly identical laser systems with an injected signal. The feedback synchronization method works well while the conventional variable-replacement synchronization methods are not realizable. Various practical situations for synchronizing two chaotic laser systems located distance away from each other are taken into account. The application of this synchronization approach to wide range of practical systems is emphasized.

    The E21+, E41+, E61+, B(E2,01+ → 21+) systematics are presented by using the total np interaction VNp and the ratio betwyn VNp and the total pairing strength Vpair to have a richer understanding of the wel&known NπNV and NnNp/(Nn + Np) schemes. The different counting schemes for effective bosoh numbers and some regularities uncovered in previous studies are tested by the figures of VNP/Vpair schemes. The systematics in the VNP/Vpair scheme suggest that-the NnNp/(Nn + Np) scheme holds for A ≥ 100 even-even nudei.

    The screening effects on the in-medium NNNΔ cross section have been investigated within a relativistic self-consistent description. We have found that σNN*NΔ, rather than increases monotonously with the increasing of density, bends down at certain density when the imaginary part of pion self-energy insertion is taken into account.

    Light-cone Λbo; and Λc+ wavefunctions are constructed to calculate their electromagnetic form factors. A new method is presented to calculate the trace and nontrace parts of the current matrix elements and get analytic expressions which are useful to elucidate numerical results.

    The conservative Noether current corresponding to the invariance of the action of a gravitymatter system under the local Lorentz transformation can be interpreted as the angular momentum tensor of the system. The existence of superpotentials which are expressed in terms of the vierbein only makes the totd current iden ticdy conserved and the total angular momentum gauge-covariant. Two examples are given. It is shown that this conservation law of angular momentum in general relativity is reasonable.

    We introduce supersymmetric unitary operators to directly diagonalize some generalized Jaynes-Cummings (J-C) Hamiltonians; which more deeply shows that supersymmetry is a natural language to depict the J-C model.

    We present a spin-1/2 antiferromagnetic Reisenberg model in an interacting boson representation exactly by using modified Holstein-Primakoff transformation. For interacting boson systems on one-dimensional linear chains and square lattices, we perform Monte-Carlo calculations using the well-established Jastrow-type trial wavefunction. We find that the ground state energies and spin correlations agree well with other numerical and theoretical results.

    We study the critical behavior of the surface on a semi-infinite simple-cubic-lattice XY model by Monte-Carlo simulations. .Our results show that a distinct surface phase exists for relatively strong surface coupling above the bulk critical temperature. Moreover, we find that the surface susceptibility diverges in the whole range of the surface phase, which supports that the surface phase is a KT phase.

    In this letter, component-field one-loop corrections are performed to integrate out matter fields in (1,0)- and (1,1)-supersymmetric gauge models. The results obtained are discussed in connection with central charge calculations.

    The gauge invariance of det (iD) in (2+l)-dimensional spacetime is argued in two approaches.Unlike the (3 + 1)-dimensional case, det (iD) does not carry any topological information.Some brief discussions are presented.
