    Based on the Jaynes-Cummings (JC) model for many m-photon correlated-spontaneousemission lasers (CEL), we give the nonlinear master equation for the matrix elements of the many m-photon CEL field. For many one-photon (m = 1) CEL, by using the Fokker-Planck equation, we discuss the conditions for lasing without inversion and the noise reduction of the laser field.

    A formula for the T electron magn.etic susceptibility of fullerence is derived via a current density approach. This formula is used to calculate the susceptibility of the bond currents and the charge currents. The numerical results of C60 show that the susceptibility of the bond currents has the similar character as that of the ring currents given by Pasquarello et al. And the total π electron susceptibility of C60 is about -77 cgs ppm.

    The balance equations are used to investigate the hot electron magneto-transport in narrowgap semiconductor InSb at 77 K in crossed weak magnetic field and electric field. In the case of vanishing transverse velocity, the drift mobility and the Hall mobility are calculated and it is shown that the Hall factor in InSb at 77K is less than 1 and decreases with electric field. In the case of vanishing transverse electric field, the longitudinal velocity and the transverse velocity are calculated as a function of the magnetic field and the electric field. The effect of the magnetic field on the longitudinal velocity is different from that on the transverse velocity.

    The static study has shown that the excited state with electron-hole pair in C60 can cause the distortion of the bond structure to form a polaron-like exciton with symmetry D5d. This paper further reveals the relaxation process from the initial electron-hole pair state to the polaron-like exciton by solving the dynamical equations. The relaxation time of this dynamical process can be determined from the time-dependent bond distortion with time step 4 femtoseconds.

    We have investigated the properties of the magnetoplasmon polariton excitation of a finite Thue-Morse superlattice structure which consists of two building blocks with nonzero plasma frequency. We find that there exist some new modes in an external magnetic field.

    The eq uilibri um behavior of the three-dimensional (3D) classical charged particles moving in a homogeneous background is investigated by using a modified cluster integral expansion method. A partial summation of the multi-loop diagrams is applied to extending the equation of state to the next order beyond the ring approximation.

    Taking TiCu alloy as an example, based on the measurement of thermal expansion coefficient, the harmonic vibration cpefficient and anharmonic vibration coefficient of atoms were calculated. With the help of Collins model, the author worked out the thermodynamic function and the solubility curve under the atomic anharmonic vibration. And, the influence of the anharmonic vibration was also discussed.

    Evolution of configurations in a pseudoinverse layered neural network is studied, and exact expressions for the evolution of the distance between two configurations are obtained in the thermodynamic limit. Exact results are presented and comparisons to computer simulations are made. Our results show that the distance between t,wo arbitrarily close configurations may increase, implying chaotic behavior.

    differential equation is treated as an alternative way. For a breaking soliton equation which possesses a (1 + 1)-dimensional-like recursion operator, six sets of generalized symmetries are explicitly given. It is known that the truncated formal series symmetries of the KP and Toda equations constitute the generalized W algebra. From this paper we find that the generalized W algebra can also be realized by means of the nontruncated formal series symmetries.

    A simple and intuitional prescription for constructing the independent bases on the spatial wavefunctions of three-identical-particle systems is proposed. The basis functions for N ≤ 4 are given in the explicit expressions based on the harmonic oscillator model. The advantage of this prescription is that the operation is directly proceeded in the center of mass system and can be programmed for the arbitrary N.

    Nuclear fragmentation events are Monte-Carlo simulated in the nucleation-evaporation picture, with charge and energy conservations. We investigate how the fragment energy spectrum, the charge distribution and the intermediate mass fragment (IMF) multiplicity depend upon the breakup density. The results are compared with some recent 4n experimental data.

    We calculate low-energy contributions to the weak form factors of B (D) → π in the frameworks of heavy-light chiral perturbation theory (HLCPT) including vector meson effects. The calculation is done to the order 1/Λcsb3 in the expansion with respect to Λcsbcsb is the chiral symmetry breaking scale) at O(1) in 1/mQ expansion and to 1/Λcsb2 at l/mQ. It is found that nonperturbative effects dominate B (D) → π form factors and the values are comparable with those from quark model approach.

    The connection between phenomenological parameters in the quark potential model and fundamental QCD parameters is established by studying the fermionic three-point Green's functions in QCD incorporating the effects of nonperturbative vacuum. The scale of chiralsymmetry-breaking leading to the constituent quark picture is estimated.

    The nucleon coupling constant to the axial isoscalar current, gAs, is calculated in the framework of QCD sum rules by including the effects of the three-gluon condensates. The contribution from the polarized strange sea quarks to gAs is extracted in a constituent quark model with a QCD modification. The combined resultant theoretical value, gAs = 0.60±0.20, agrees with the experimental estimate. The first moments of the proton, neutron and deuteron spin structure functions are evaluated and compared with the experimental data.

    In this paper, we utilize Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) mechanism to discuss the dynamical symmetry breaking for Weinberg-Salam model. In the NJL mechanism the symmetry breaking not only is determined by the potential ofscalar field V(φ) but also has important relation with condensate of the fermion pair (φφ). We find that the coefficient of quadric term of scalar field μ2 ≥ 0 can still cause symmetry breaking by virtue of (φφ) ≠ 0, and the vacuum expected value of scalar field obeys (φ) = (φφ), i.e., the order parameter which causes phase transition is the condensate of fermion pair (φφ). We also discuss the restoration problem of SU(2) × U(1) gauge symmetry breaking by the NJL mechanism at high temperatures.

    We extend the newly proposed coherent-state method of normally ordering boson operators to a q-deformed boson case. With the help of q-derivative, some new q-boson operator iden tities are obtained.

    Based on a theory model proposed for organic ferrornagnets, the spin configuration and spinwave excitations in quasi-one-dimensional organic polymer ferromagnets are studied. The results show that: 1) Owing to the unpaired electrons at side free-radicals, the degeneracy of the spin-wave will be removed, the lower branch of the spin-wave excitations will split off into two branches, and it shows ferromagnetic characters; 2) The anisotropic interactions between the unpaired electrons at side free-radicals will make an energy gap appear between the ground state and the lowest excited state.

    The bosonic oscillator is discussed in quite a different method compared with the conventional one. We first strictly deduce an algebraic identity. After introducing an important,boundary condition, we deduce the characteristic equation of number operator N. From this equation,we discuss some properties of bosonic oscillator including its Hilbert space.

    The imaginary parts of φ4 two-loop self-energy are investigated in both imaginary and real time finite-temperature formalisms (ITF and RTF). The two results are showed to be different, their relation is obtained, and the physical interpretation is discussed respectively.
